Edinburgh is approximately 40 miles north of the hotel. Edinburgh is well worth a visit; it will take about 1 hour to travel there by car or you can catch the train from Berwick upon Tweed or Dunbar.
Some of the attractions to visit would be Edinburgh castle, Princess street, the Scottish Parliament, the hill over looking the city known as Arthur’s seat, a must for walkers. The Edinburgh Dungeon, Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh Crystal, the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Scotch Whisky Centre and don’t miss the Edinburgh Deep Sea World its well worth a visit.

Throughout August, The Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes place at Edinburgh Castle.

The Edinburgh International Festival is one of the world's greatest and most exciting arts events attracting performers, artists and musicians from around the world, starting mid August till first week September.
