When the conditions are right, surfing at Coldingham bay is as good as anywhere in Scotland. Surfer’s travel regularly from as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh to catch the waves.

With wetsuits as good as they are now surfers can be seen surfing all year round and not just the summer.
Surfing has now been recognised as one of the fastest growing sports in the Scotland. Wetsuits and boards can be hired from the surf shop at St Vedas hotel.

In May 2003 St.Vedas Hotel and Coldingham bay played host for the Scottish leg of the local hero surf competition sponsored by Red Bull energy drink Surfing at Coldingham Bay
